January is Creativity Month, and we thought it would be a fun time to showcase all of the creative uses for welding. While it’s commonly used for fabricating and building, welding is an extremely creative avenue of expression. Of course, even fabricating can be a very creative way to use welding, especially when it involves broken pieces or creative ideas.


Creative Metal Art

Welding seems industrial, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s extremely beautiful when used in artistic ways. At Augello’s Welding, we use metal to create custom art pieces. From beautiful custom railings to rocky balboa statues, there really is no limit to the creativity that you can find through welding.

Welding Art

There are many ways to showcase art through welding. Our biggest endeavor of 2018 was the Rocky Balboa statue that we custom made. It was unique and posed special care and customization. This is something that we specialize in at Augello’s Welding.


Other aspects of art through the use of metal as a medium is our custom metal artwork. This uses engraving to create custom design onto the face of the metal.

Finally … in a small, but might way, we have used metal to solve the great dilemma of displaying your bottle of wine ;). These pieces are perfect for your wet bar at the Lake. They are unique, that’s for sure, and we think they embody the creativity of metal work.


Creative Signs

Signage is extremely popular right now in homes across the country. From custom designs to words that embody your life’s motto or meaning - signs can be a great way to showcase this in your home. Metalwork is also a creative way to solve problems! We can’t tell you how many countless broken items have been brought to us in the hopes of having them repaired. Whether you're a budding welder or just a really curious person, here are some fun things to know about different weld types and what they are used on. Ark Weld This type of weld uses an electric arc between and electrode and the base material to melt the metals at the welding point. Either a direct or alternating current can be used, as well as a consumable or non-consumable electrode. Heliark Weld this process uses a tungsten electrode arc and helium as a shielding gas.
